Behind the story

My name is Yuliya Kosharevska. I am from Bulgaria and I am in my final year of a BA (Hons) Journalism course at the University of the West of England, Bristol.

I wanted to be a journalist since I was in the second grade and I am working hard to achieve this dream, although I realised recently that I am open for more options that I previously thought and that topics such as healthcare (especially how it is financed) and young people are extremely important to me.

I write a lot and so far my journalistic work has been published in different editions around Europe, including euronews, OneEurope, Chronicle.bg and  Dnevnik. One of my articles was picked up by Huffington Post and The Independent.

azI am interested in social inclusion, politics, current affairs, the EU, international relations and social movements,  but above all – in people. I love travelling and understanding new cultures.

I believe that if each of us changes something small, the world will soon be a better place. That is why it is quite easy to stir my enthusiasm, if you have an idea for a great project! So far I have been coordinating several different projects and campaigns.

Let’s see what the next stop of my journey will be!
